As part of a process to understand and report on congestion and/or criminal incidents on South African roads with the aim to provide better information and co-ordinated security action the RFA has started a reporting process to improve the capture of all protest or crime incidents on South African roads. The purpose is to provide more information on the Operational Incident Register to assist members with planning. It also assists in the lobby process with government as well as directing resources to problem areas. If we all share the incident information on an anonymous basis it could hold benefit for all participants. This is a 3-month pilot project to test the information gathering as well as the use of the information to the benefit of the industry.
Please complete the form below. Kindly note that it is not mandatory to submit information that might identify the company. You may submit the SAPS CAS case number if it is available. All information will be treated as confidential and handled on an anonymous basis. Important information of what, when and where an incident happened must be provided. The form provides some incident classification options to assist with analysing the incidents. Your participation in this pilot project would be highly appreciated.
